MEN Media seeks two communities reporters


MEN Media, the publisher of the Manchester Evening News now owned by Trinity Mirror, is advertising for two "communities reporters".

According to the ad: "You must have a passion for generating and managing local news and be skilled at developing relationship with a wide range of community stakeholders. You will work in the iconic Manchester Evening News, Britain's largest circulating regional daily newspaper, our 22 weekly papers and our websites."

In a sign of the times, the ad also says: "The ability to identify editorial and commercial opportunities is key" as well as an excellent knowledge "of contemporary social media and a solid understanding of multimedia gathering".
