Just when you've got over the shock of Press Gazette surviving yet another closure... you find that its star columnist Grey Cardigan (the voice of downtable regional subs) has neither been made redundant or sent to a central subbing centre but has, in a remarkable twist, been made editor of the Daily Beast.
Cardigan an editor, I can't believe it. But it's true as you can read here.
