Ex-Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie may stand in General Election for 'No Expenses Party'

This might add a bit of spice to the General Election. It is rumoured that former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie is considering standing for Parliament in the next General Election for a constituency near his Surrey home. Apparently his party would either be the "No Expenses Party" or the "Red Mist Party".

Of course, he has threatened to stand before, usually after a few sherbets but has always bottled it so far. Here's a previous "bid"...

Yes, but he did stand as a councillor for Elmbridge Borough Council http://www.spectator.co.uk/the-magazine/features/628846/part_3/why-im-standing-to-be-a-local-councillor.thtml

So, he's got some political previous.
