Independent d-day tomorrow?
Geordie Greig, editor of the Evening Standard, in which Alexander Lebedev holds a majority stake, has told journalism students that an announcement about the former KGB agent's possible takeover of the Independent might come tomorrow. Greig talking to students at the University of Central Lancashire suggested "the future might be free" after being quizzed over whether the Indy would follow the Standard and become a give-away.
