You've been warned: It's a stick up for sloppy newspaper journalism and dodgy content
This is brilliant. Tom Scott has designed a series of stickers (see a few above) to highlight sloppy journalism. He explains: "It seems a bit strange to me that the media carefully warn about and label any content that involves sex, violence or strong language — but there's no similar labelling system for, say, sloppy journalism and other questionable content. I figured it was time to fix that, so I made some stickers. I've been putting them on copies of the free papers that I find on the London Underground. You might want to as well." One says: "Warning includes content by Richard Littlejohn." There is also a handy pdf (below) you can download to make your own stickers.
I am a freelance journalist based in the UK and was deputy editor of Press Gazette, the journalists' magazine, from 1993 until 2006. I want to give an independent view on media matters.
