Forget about appealing to the young, here is a reason to be cheerful about the future of newspapers.
Daily Mail md Guy Zitter (pictured), in an interview with Ray Snoddy in the latest issue of InPublishing , is confident that in five years time there will still be "a recognisable paid-for national newspaper industry in the UK" although with fewer titles.
He tells Snoddy: "Fortunately my readers, because of modern health care, are living to at least 100 so it should be fine."
