Times club events to be hosted by journalists

Journalists will host exclusive events as part of The Times and Sunday Times new readers' club Times+ , according to a video promoting the new service. Times+ is free for subscribers to the Times and Sunday Times or £50 to non-subscribers. It promises a range of events and offers to club members.
Other newspapers are expected to follow the initiative and try and bring in extra revenues with their own readers' clubs. They include the Guardian, which in August advertised for a club manager.
