How to give online hits a lift

Sarah Sands, the former Sunday Telegraph editor, writes in the Evening Standard today that she is not surprised that a story about the invention of a bra that converts into a gas mask has proved enduringly popular on the BBC's website.
Sands, deputy editor of the Standard, says: "When I worked for another newspaper, its online success turned out to be reliant on a report by a fashion writer about having a bra fitting."
