The Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at George Bush during a press conference will go on trial on February 19 charged with assaulting a foreign leader, Associated Press reports today.
Muntadhar al-Zeidi faces up to 15 years in prison on the charge, his lawyers have said. Al-Zeidi, 30, has been in custody since the December 14 outburst at Bush's joint news conference with Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
