The Edinburgh Evening News is to devote one of its editions solely to the reporting of 'good news' today, allscotlandmedia reports.
Today's edition of the paper has been billed 'Good News Day', and is to comprise only "the positive aspects of life".
Editor John McLellan says: "The first Good News Day was a great success, but that was back in June 2007 when everything was still rosy. Now that times are tough I think people will appreciate a Good News Day even more."
Presumably the Evening News won't be carrying news like this: "Pensioner slashed in face as maniac goes on the rampage," a story featured on its website from yesterday.
