Where were the politicians when journalists were arrested and prosecuted over leaks?

I hope media lawyers are filing away all these fantastic quotes from politicians, including ex-Ministers like Michael Howard and Kenneth Clarke, speaking out in favour of the public's "right to know" in the wake of the Damian Green leak affair. It will come in useful the next time a journalists is prosecuted over a leak of confidential information. But where was the outcry from politicians when the likes of Jeremy Warner, Bill Goodwin, Robin Ackroyd and, most recently, Sally Murrer were arrested and dragged through the courts?
