Clare Sambrook wins Paul Foot Award 2010


Campaigning journalist Clare Sambrook has won the Paul Foot Award 2010 for her investigation into the policy of locking up asylum seekers’ families in conditions known to harm their mental health.

Her work has been published by openDemocracy, guardian.co.uk and Private Eye. She has also generated reporting and comment in openDemocracy, the Observer, the Daily Telegraph, the Independent, the Guardian, Community Care, Big Issue In The North, Morning Star, Counterfire, Nursery World, Private Eye and many other outlets.

Eamonn McCann (Irish Times, Belfast Telegraph, Guardian) was given a Special Lifetime Campaign Award for his campaigning journalism on behalf of the victims of Bloody Sunday.
