Tony Loynes quits NCTJ after two months

Tony Loynes has left his new post as head of accreditation at the National Council for the Training of Journalists after two months.
He told me today: "I was really loving the job but I was commuting from my home in Suffolk. It was a cross country drive that took up to two hours. I gave it a good try but it was a nightmare journey."
Loynes was appointed by the NCTJ in September. He is a former editor and publisher of Press Gazette, publishing director of VNU Business Information and was was editorial director of Wilmington Business Information. Loynes has also worked on the London Evening News, East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star.
