NCTJ looks to expand into broadcasting

The National Council for the Training of Journalists is setting up a "cross media accreditation board" which will include representatives from the national and regional press, magazines as well as broadcasters.
A new set of preliminary exams will be piloted from 2010. One of the optional subjects is broadcasting. The NCTJ is understood to be in discussions with broadcast employers and is to hold its annual skills conference at BBC Scotland.
