This could be a battle of the heavyweights. Journalist editorship candidate Mark Watts today takes on NUJ activist Chris Wheal in a lengthy posting on journalism.co.ukWheal has said he would put Watts last on the ballot and accused him of McCarthyism, poor journalism, being divisive, spiteful and childish. He has also claimed Watts (pictured) is a doppelganger for Herr Flick of 'Allo, 'Allo! sitcom fame.
Modesty prevents me from mentioning who wins Watts' "gag of the election" award.
