NUJ launches 'I Love Our BBC' postcard campaign


As part of its campaign against job cuts at the BBC, the NUJ has launched a postcard campaign with the message: 'I Love Our BBC'

The union has produced the postcard (top) for people to send to the BBC to oppose the cuts. It is available online here or hard copies can be ordrered via email at campaigns@nuj.org.uk
The NUJ is also encouraging all members, colleagues, family and friends to take part in the public consultation which ends on 21 December. You can respond to the consultation here.

A public meeting aimed at to helping to save local BBC jobs and programming in Manchester has been organised by the NUJ for Saturday 10 December.

Speaking at the meeting, which takes place between 2-4pm at the Mechanics Centre, 103 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6DD, will be: Hazel Blears, MP for Salford and Eccles whose constituency includes Media City; Andy Johnson, presenter/producer of BBC's Inside Out; Michelle Stanistreet, NUJ general secretary; Mat Trewern, BBC Radio Manchester; and Granville Williams, Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom.
