Cameron in China beats fees demo for coverage

Prime Minister David Cameron's visit to China narrowly beat the student fees demo to receive the most press coverage in the week ending Sunday 14 November, according to journalisted

Cameron in China generated 213 articles; the increase in tuition fees for students that sparked student protests and rioting in Conservative HQ at Millbank, 196 articles; George Bush's autobiography, in which he defended the use of waterboarding, 151 articles; Aung San Suu Kyi, released from house arrest in Burma on Sunday, 107 articles.

Covered little, according to journalisted were concerns about Ireland's ability to make payments on its sovereign debt, as the country resisted calls for an EU bail-out, which generated 30 articles; David Willetts, Minister of State for Universities and Science, in a week of student protests, 12 articles; the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton, made in October, and followed by a flurry of bets about their wedding day, 3 articles.

It is a safe bet to say that the Irish economy and wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton are likely to feature in the "most covered" this week.
