Christine Buckley, the newly elected editor of NUJ magazine the Journalist, is seeking tenders from designers to give the bi-monthly magazine a new look and format for its online presence.
"I want the Journalist to look lively, newsy, informative and analytical. It needs to have a clear, modern look that will help make it a must read for our members who have many demands on their time," says Buckley on the NUJ website.
The Journalist had a re-design last year under editor Tim Gopsill to mark its centenary.
According to the NUJ website, there would be an option for the winning designer to continue producing the magazine after the initial redesign.
A shortlist of interested parties will be invited to formally pitch on Wednesday 6th January at the NUJ's London headquarters, Headland House.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm, 21st December.
