Chris Wheal, journalist, editor and trainer, picks his 'Best Media of 2009'.
Best old media: The Economist.
Best new media: www.nujadm.org.uk- the student work experience project using Wordpress, Twitter, live blogging, youtube and Flickr.
Story of the year: MPs' expenses (though if you give me a brown
envelope stuffed with cash I'll change that).
Journalist of the Year: Heather Brooke.
Prediction for 2009: Fewer full-time jobs, more freelance contracts and a deafening white noise of struggling print-only die-hards bemoaning the internet, blogging and Twitter for taking away work that they believe was rightfully theirs.
Tomorrow: Sam Shepherd.
Best ofs, so far: Adrian Monck; Paul Linford; Jo Wadsworth; Steve Dyson; Steve Busfield.
