Channel 4 News has published 153 names on the lists compiled by private investigator Derek Webb of people he says he was asked to carry out surveillance on by the News of the World between 2003 and 2011.
C4 News says it has excluded those on his lists who seem to be ordinary members of the public.
Meanwhile, I have been told that Webb is a member of the NUJ who somehow "got in under the wire" while at Wapping.
The NUJ will not comment because membership matters come under Data Protection. If Webb wasn't a member of the union, presumably we could be told without breaching the Data Protection Act.
