James Murdoch to be recalled by Parly committee

News International chairman James Murdoch is to be recalled by the Parliamentary committee investigating phone-hacking.

Culture and Media committee chairman John Whittingdale said he was recalling James Murdoch to give evidence. It comes after MPs heard conflicting evidence from former News of the World editor Colin Myler and ex-News of the World legal manager Tom Crone over how much James Murdoch knew about phone-hacking at the paper.

It is not known when Murdoch will appear before the committee. According to BBC News, Whittingdale said the committee wanted to first hear evidence from other witnesses, including former senior News Corporation executive Les Hinton and Mark Lewis, the lawyer representing alleged phone-hacking victims.
