BNP banner ads back on Newsquest papers

Newsquest has reinstated BNP banner online ads proclaiming "British jobs for British workers"at some of its weekly newspapers today.
They have reappeared on the websites of the Bromsgrove Advertiser as well as the Stourbridge News and the Dudley News.
Smaller "Vote BNP" online ads are being carried on the websites of two Newsquest dailies, the Colchester Gazette and the Echo, which covers Basildon and Southend in Essex.
The company was yesterday condemned by the NUJ for taking ads for the BNP. Local Newsquest mangers, however, have defended the company and said it would be wrong to "selectively discriminate" against political parties in the run-up to an election.
Newsquest, a subsidiary of the Gannett newspaper company in the US, took a moral stand last July by banning all adult sex advertisements, having been persuaded of the link between the ads and women being trafficked for sex.
