Moore in his
Telegraph column was adamant that he would not pay his £142.50p BBC licence fee while Jonathan Ross was employed by the BBC - even if it meant being sent to prison - in a protest at the "Sachsgate" row over the obscene phone message left by Ross and Russell Brand on the actor Andrew Sach's answerphone.
