MacKenzie: 'Celeb PR is money for old rope'

Several ex-Fleet Street editors have become poachers turned gamekeepers by setting up PR firms which handle the press for celebrity clients.
Kelvin MacKenzie in his Sun column today gives his verdict on the celeb PR biz in a comment on the Tiger Woods' story.
"I know a lot of PRs and basically it is money for old rope. If you are famous, you will get your name in the papers and, if you're not, you won't. And they charge £20,000 a year for that kind of stuff. You should try it - everybody else is."
